2022 was great. I met the love of my life. Had staycation at many beautiful states of Mexico (Chiapas, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Baja California Sur).
I started my travel in February. In January my waist stats were 86.5(tight) -88.5 (relaxed). By the time I ended my ravel in April I was back to. (91-93). I was able to bring it down to (88-90). Then I travelled to India in July and when I came back to Mexico in September it measured (93-96).
Since then my diet has been clean with occasional cheat meal, and today my waist measure around (88.5-91.5). I am going to gym 3-4 times a week. I found last month that walking on the treadmill on an incline burns a lot of calories even at low speed.
I do have a doubt that my occasional fasting might have brought down my resting metabolism(body cleverly adjusts to uncomfortable situations). I think, to boost it, I should continue taking more protein (100gm+) and using my standing desk for work.
I am focussing on increasing strength and muscle size. I got neck injury quite a few times while doing heavy lat pull down exercise. I found some neck stretching videos in youtube to relieve the pain.
My plan is to increase weight on that exercise only when I can comfortably do 10 reps, thus slowly building up all the necessary minor muscles. I am also planning to include neck exercises to strengthen it.
I feel I have a strong enough base of habits and diet to finally reach my goal of 80cm of relaxed waist size this year.
